Help.center lets you create a knowledge base using a documentation layout. In this layout, categories and articles are displayed in a compact, easy-to-scan structure, making content quicker to browse and find. You can switch between the documentation layout and the classic layout in Settings.
This layout is ideal for product documentation, user guides, developer resources, internal docs, and any knowledge base with many categories and articles.
At the top of the page, you'll find a search bar that's always within easy reach, allowing visitors to quickly search for articles from anywhere in your knowledge base. The header also includes navigation links such as Home and Contact us, along with any additional header items you've configured, making it easy for users to move around your website.
Next to the search bar is the Ask AI button, which opens the AI chatbot so visitors can ask questions in natural language and receive answers based on your knowledge base.
On the left side of the page, your knowledge base categories are displayed in a navigation sidebar. Visitors can click on a category to expand it and reveal the articles within, then select any article to open it instantly. This expandable menu makes it easy to browse through your documentation and switch between topics without having to return to the homepage.
The selected article is displayed in the center of the page, providing a clean, distraction-free reading experience. Alongside the article, on the right, is the On this page panel. This automatically generates a table of contents based on the headings in the current article, allowing readers to jump directly to any section with a single click. This is especially helpful for longer articles, where users may only need to find one specific topic.
